Gary fervently loved three things: his family, friends, and the Marine Corps. Gary Stewart Spranger was born September 24, 1932, and passed away peacefully at home in Littleton, Colorado on June 3, 2018. Born in Grand Forks, ND, he lived a full 85 years of life. He married his life-long love Jacquelyn ""Jotty"" (Antrim) Spranger in 1957 and enjoyed 61 years of marriage. He joined the Marines in 1953 and served actively for 3 years. Subsequently, he served in the reserves for an additional 20 years, retiring as a Lt. Colonel. Gary worked for the Gates Rubber Company in Minneapolis, Kansas City, and Denver. Charlie Gates took care of his employees and Gary, my father, paid him back by being on the road. A lot. Fiercely loyal, he worked at Gates for 34 years and retired as a vice president. Gary had a gang from his hometown Fergus Falls, MN that he stayed with for 70 years. 70 Years! As they aged, they would get together every two years, catch up, and reminisce. People donât do that much anymore. Bonds borne in childhood stick. Gary Spranger stuck. His interests included sailing, wood working, history, and genealogy, having traced the Sprangers and the Antrims several hundred years. Gary is survived by his wife Jotty, daughter, Anne, son, Michael, grandchildren Nick, Hannah, and Kate. Additionally, his sister Lana and her wonderful children, Trevor and Allison, brother Alan, the Schaumburgs, Deanne (Ondash), Davie, Mark, Paul, Karen and all their kids, Antrims including Mary Ann, Glynis, Eric, Cathy, and Moira. He loved them all so much. Semper Fidelis
