Gayle Harley Rose

March 13, 1946 — April 25, 2013

Gale Harley Rose, 67, of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away April 25, 2013. Gale had a never-ending love for her family and those that she loved. She loved gathering with her family over the holidays and exchanging laughs and smiles with them. Gale loved and adored her grandchildren or ""grandbabies"" as she called them, beyond belief. She loved to have them up to her house to watch a movie, play cards, or just simply spend quality time together. Gale raised her three surviving children, Rob, 48, Craig, 44, and Dara, 40, as a single mother. She gave them all the love in her heart in order to ensure they had a good life filled with opportunity and success. Gale's beautiful personality and caring heart live on through them. Gale was born Mar. 13, 1946 in Rochester, New York. For most of her childhood, she lived in Westminster West, Vermont. Gale enjoyed her position as an accountant and CPA for many years. She worked very hard and accomplished a great amount during her working career. Gale had a passion for gardening and creating beautiful scenes with flowers and plants. She would spend hours making sure her various flowers and plants were exactly the way she wanted them to be arranged, creating true beauty. Gardening was a hobby Gale had that gave her inner peace. Gale also loved her dog Oshi. Gale was a devoted supporter of many organizations and charities that helped those less fortunate. From brilliant musical shows at the Colorado Buell Theater to simple photographs, Gale had an impressive love for the arts. She loved to take any of her 5 surviving, beloved grandchildren, Kori, 21, Kyle, 19, Callahan, 16, Jordan, 15, and Mikayla, 13, downtown to observe a play or musical with them. Her grandchildren called her ""GG,"" which stood for Grandma Gale. Other surviving relatives include Gale's sisters Amy, Lee, and Laureen, and her two brothers Hugh and John. Gale was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be remembered with a service on Monday, April 29, 2013, 3:00 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 E. County Line Rd. Centennial, Colorado, 80122. Immediately following the service, a gathering of family and friends will be held at son Rob, and daughter-in-law Teresa's home, 6061 E Mineral Dr., Centennial, Colorado, 80112. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Colorado Japanese Chin Rescue, www.cjcrescue.com
