Gene O. Kennedy, 83, of Littleton. Husband of Gertrude; Father of Wayne, Greg (Kelly), Denise, Barbara (T) Whitehurst, Wanda (Ron) Dietz, Debra (Dan) Joyce; Grandfather of Tonya, Colin, Brent, Bryan, Kyle, Joshua, Michael, Alex, Julie, Madelyn, Delaney, Torey, Katherine, Rebecca, David; Great Grandfather of Railey & Nolan. Preceded in death by grandson Konrad. Rosary Sunday, 5:00 pm, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. Funeral Mass Monday, 10:00 am, St. Mary Catholic Church, 6853 S. Prince St., Littleton. Gene enjoyed being out doors and fishing. He also liked photography and crossword puzzles. Gene loved to travel to see National Parks, Yellowstone in particular, and visiting family. He Learned to operate the computer in his 70's and read the paper daily to stay current. He enjoyed working with his hands repairing cars and doing woodworking. He loved to be with his Grandchildren the "Petunias" and "Jug Heads" as he affectionately called them. Blackeyed Peas, Sour Pickles, Onions, Fried Corn Patties, Lemon Pie and Pecan Pie were some of his favorite foods. He enjoyed cooking, but hated to do the dishes after. Mr. Kennedy served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Gene was a geologist in the oil and gas industry.
