Genevieve Rose White
January 3, 1927 ~ October 26, 2021 (age 94)
Genevieve Rose White, age 94, peacefully passed into eternal life October 26, 2021.
Genevieve was born on January 3, 1927 in Green Valley, Minnesota, to Albert Frank Goblirsch and Stella Anna Streff. Growing up the fourth of twelve children, she enjoyed school, was a great student and a voracious reader. After high school she and two of her sisters ventured out to the big city of Denver, where she got a job as a bookkeeper. She joined the Cathedral Camera Club where she met her dear Fred and their romance “developed” in the dark room. They married in 1950 and raised four children.
Genevieve enjoyed a variety of interests. Gardening was one of her favorites - she made flowers and plants flourish, both outside and in. She also loved sewing, bowling, ballroom dancing, piano, home improvement projects, Spanish, and dogs. “Mother Gen’s” favorite vocation was raising her children with her dear husband Fredrick. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and enthusiastically shared it with others throughout her life. She and Fred loved to travel abroad to sites of religious significance and charitable organizations for children in Mexico. She was a stranger to none, had international friendships, and opened her home to those without families on holidays. Gen’s family and friends will always remember her as being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and faithful servant of God. She will be deeply missed by all.
Genevieve was the wife of Fredrick Monroe White for 66 years. She was the mother of five children: Mary Ramona (John) Ord, Baby John White (deceased at birth), Frank Joseph (Jan) White, Teresa Marie (Tom) Sanctis, Vincent Fredrick (Jacqueline) White. “Nana” was also the grandmother to thirteen grand children: Regina Ord-Kline (deceased), Diana Ord, Cynthia Ord, Thomas Ord, Phil Ord; Jennifer White-Douglas, Jason White; Anthony Sanctis, Andrew Sanctis, David Sanctis, Ann Marie Heideman; Kevin White, Lauren White. Genevieve was also the “great” grandmother of eleven great-grandchildren.
