George James Frushour

George James Frushour, 54 years old, passed away suddenly on Friday December 30, 2016. He was born on October 23, 1962 in Denver, Co, to George Lee Frushour and Norma Jane Frushour. George is survived by his wife Judy, daughters, Morgan and Chelsey Brown, son Wes Millward and five grandchildren, Jadyn, Skye, Noah, Carter and Tyler. George is survived by his three sisters, Karen Dietz, Cindy (Otto) Schleymeyer, and Suzanne Frushour. He is preceded in death by his parents, Norma and George Frushour. Memorial Services will be held Friday January 13, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. Eastern Hills Community Church 25511 E. Smoky Hill Rd. Aurora, Co. 80016. Reception will immediately follow. Arrangements are being handled by Horan & McConaty Funeral Home where an online guest register is available at www.horancares.com. George grew up and lived in Aurora, Co. his entire life. He graduated from Aurora Central H.S. in 1981 and received a Bachelor's degree in Statistics from Metropolitan State University. He ran Cross-Country in high school and continued running throughout college. George achieved All American status in Cross Country while in college. George started working for King Soopers in 1985 where he and his wife Judy met and later married in 1994. Their daughter Morgan was born in 1997. George worked his way up from a bagger to Retail Operations Manager for King Soopers. He had aspirations of climbing even farther up the corporate ladder, always striving to improve whether it was himself or King Soopers. He was an avid reader, non-fiction leadership books were his favorite. George was dedicated and passionate about everything he did. He started his love for Martial Arts in 1995 becoming a 5th degree black belt in ATA Taekwondo and then found his passion in Jiu-Jitsu, earning his Brown belt and practicing it for the rest of his life. He was the most intelligent, hard working, loving person who was loved and respected by everyone who knew him. He leaves behind many family members, friends and coworkers who miss him dearly. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Heart Association in George's honor, or to a charity of your choice.
