In Loving Memory of George Ruben Gallegos
George Ruben Gallegos peacefully passed away at home in Parker,
Colorado on February 24th, 2019 at the age of 68 after bravely battling
ALS for four years. He was born on June 8, 1950 in San Antonio Texas.
He is predeceased by his parents Leticia Cardenas Gallegos and Ruben
Gallegos of San Antonio Texas.
George is survived by Karen Miller, his loving wife. They lived in Parker, Colorado.

His adoring siblings Sandra and Joe Martinez, Debbie and
Jerry Lyons, and Randall and Kathleen Gallegos.

George is lovingly remembered by Brian and Laura Armstrong, of Rancho
Cucamonga, Bill Armstrong of Evergreen, Eddie and Allie Nelson of
Highlands Ranch, Hildur and James Taylor of Malvern.
His Grandchildren Skyelar Armstrong, Haley Armstrong, Mackay Armstrong,
Alexander Armstrong, Rowan Armstrong, Ruby Taylor, Jimmy Taylor, Owen
Nelson and Jackson Nelson.
His nieces and nephews, Courtney and JD Dehart, Kyle and Heidi
Martinez, Raven Lyons, Miranda and Azael Marquez, Easton Gallegos,
Kyrie Gallegos and Hope Gallegos.
He was born in San Antonio Texas and graduated from Antonian High
School in 1967. He went on to earn a Bachelors Degree at Trinity University.
He was offered a Ford Fellowship to Denver University in 1972 where he
completed his Masters Degree in 1974 and PHD in 1978.
He worked as a child Psychologist for many years at Childrenâs
Hospital, Cherry Creek School District, Arapahoe Mental Heath, Kaiser
Permanente, and Douglas County School District. He retired in 2005.
After a year of retirement he decided to work with the elderly in
Castle Rock until the effects of ALS made it unable for him to
continue.
George loved traveling to National Parks, exploring Colorado, boating
at Lake Powell, fly fishing all over the west, and spending time with
friends and family. He was a devoted friend to all who knew him, and
was adored by his family. He will be greatly missed.
A remembrance will be held Sunday March 3, 2019 at Horan and
McConaty 5303 E County Line Road, Centennial Colorado at 10:00 AM.
No reception will take place at this time.
