George Curtis “Curt” Holsinger, age 67, passed away on April 3, 2025, in Mead, Colorado. He was born in Gordon, Nebraska, on March 12, 1958, to Glen and Ardyce (Glover) Holsinger.
Visitation (viewing) will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 11:00 am to noon. The funeral service will follow immediately at noon at the same location. The burial with military honors will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 4400 W Kenyon Ave., Denver, CO, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm. A reception will conclude the day back at Horan & McConaty from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Lunch will be served.
Curt grew up with a strong work ethic and a passion for building and fixing things. He graduated from Golden High School where he excelled in wrestling. A man of faith, he worshipped in the Methodist tradition.
Curt proudly served his country in the US Navy as an Aviation Ordnance man Petty Officer 2nd Class, at Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia. He also spent two years at sea aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower and two years working in the shipyard building ships.
Following his military service, Curt worked for Martin Marietta and Coors before retiring from Suez Energy Resources as an Electrical Instrumentation Technician.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda, who he married on September 26, 2015, in Mead, CO; three children, Carmen Holsinger of Lakewood, CO, Shannon Holsinger of Brighton, CO, and Coy Holsinger of Highlands Ranch, CO; and two stepchildren, Stephen Genaro of Aurora, CO, and Diane Peterson of Timnath, CO; two sisters, Jody Treat (Berry) of Philomath, OR, and Toni Holsinger of North Port, FL; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Ardyce Holsinger of Denver, CO.
