George F. Mannion

Name: George Francis Mannion Age: 63 A Resident Of: Denver, Colorado Passed Away On: March 9. 2018. He was born November 26, 1954 in Passaic, New Jersey to John and Margaret Ellen Mannion. George is survived by his wife Julie Mannion, son Matthew Mannion, his brothers, Michael Mannion (Melissa), John Mannion, Timothy Mannion (Cecira), sisters Gail Winterstella (John) and Mary Ellen Mannion and many beloved nephews. He is preceded in death by his father John Mannion and mother Margaret Mannion. George moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1981 and began his pursuit of becoming a restaurateur. Following a passion for skiing, he moved to Copper Mountain and met his wife Julie. After a couple of years of mountain living, George and Julie relocated to Denver where he began his career in restaurant management and ownership. Over the years of being in the restaurant business, George touched the lives of many people. He mentored and guided many whether their pursuit was in the restaurant business or something else. George was an avid skier and enjoyed the outdoors. His love of skiing led him to volunteer for the National Center for the Sports Disabled and for over 20 years, George dedicated his time to help those with disabilities. George also served on the board of directors for Adaptive Adventures, whose mission is provide progressive outdoor activities to improve the quality of life for those with disabilities. Despite his many accomplishments, George was a true family man and enjoyed spending time with Julie and Matt. He and Matt shared a love of the outdoors. Together they skied, fished, golfed and spent every summer at the Jersey Shore. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. A memorial in George’s honor will be held on Thursday March 15, 2018 4:00PM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church 2626 East 7th Avenue Parkway, Denver, CO 80206.
