Denver lost one of its finest Italian-American residents. George grew up in North Denver with his brother Roy (Sandy). It was there that he met the love of his life, Evelyn Calvaresi, at the age of 5. They were married 61 years, when Evelyn passed. He attended Regis High School and went on to a successful 45-year career with Public Service Co.
George and Evelyn raised 5 strong, wonderful children: Georgia, Joe (Suzanne), Gary (Valerie), George Jr. (Jan) and Gina Eberhardt (Jack). After retirement, George and Evelyn traveled the world and enjoyed their 7 wonderful grandchildren, who were the light of their lives. George was blessed with 4 great-grandchildren.
George was a devoted, loving, strong and generous husband, father, grandfather, brother and man. He will be missed by all who knew him, especially his family. If anyone wonders where he is, heâs gone fishinâ.
