George Robbins

November 4, 1943 — December 21, 2022

Centennial, CO

G. Randall Robbins of Centennial, Colorado peacefully entered eternal rest with Jesus on December 21, 2022. Randy was born November 4, 1943 to Forrest and Venice Robbins in Columbus, Georgia, where his father was stationed at Fort Brenning.

Randy, an irreplaceable, fun-loving, generous and faithful husband, is survived by his wife, Sue; his sons Craig and Curtis J.; daughters-in-law Allyson and Marie; and eight grandchildren he dearly loved, Curtis W., Caroline, Catie, Jack, Paxton, Marion, Alida and Theo.

His early years were spent in rural Indiana, where he lived with his mother, maternal grandparents and his beloved older sister (by 15 months) Judy, while their father served in Germany during World War II. In Junior High, Randy's family, which now included his dearly loved younger brother, Gary, moved from their Indiana farm to Bradley, Illinois where his father completed a degree to become a Pastor in the Church of the Nazarene.

After graduating from Naperville High School, Randy attended Olivet Nazarene College where he met his lifelong love, Sue.

Randy and Sue began their teaching careers in Mason, Michigan before moving to the suburbs of Detroit where Randy moved on to serve in the roles of Assistant Principal and Principal for schools in Bloomfield Hills and Troy, Michigan. By the grace of God and helpful friends, Randy made a mid-career transition to General Motors, where he supported educational training of engineers. Throughout his career, he found ways to positively impact young people, as evidenced by a project he supervised for young engineers who built cars with 5th graders in Detroit.

A man of impeccable integrity and a loyal churchman, Randy blessed those around him through his genuine heart for service. As a devoted follower of Christ, Randy volunteered as music and choir director at Troy Church of the Nazarene for 25 years, where he freely shared his beautiful tenor voice and led with his deep love for worship.

Randy's aptitude for fun and laughter permeated his relationships with family and friends. He loved opportunities to enjoy life, connect with others and play. His love for travel took him to China, Ecuador, Vienna and the Holy Lands. An avid sportsman, Randy remained a die-hard loyal fan to his Chicago Cubs, who finally gave him a late in life World Series win.

In 2002, Randy and Sue moved to Colorado to be closer to their family, where Randy continued to serve in church, tend to his yard and dog Brio, love on his family and neighbors and soak in God's presence through scripture and song.

A Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday, December 28th at 11am, with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30am at Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church at 10150 East Belleview Avenue, Englewood, Colorado.

The family requests those who are willing and able, make a donation in Randy's honor to Voice of the Martyrs; specifically towards their "Bible For Every Believer" program, which is dedicated to providing a personal copy of the Bible to people in nations across the globe. This cause was near to Randy's heart and he himself was a regular contributor.
