George Francis Rovegno, Jr.

George Francis Rovegno Jr., age 67, died at home on Sunday, January 10, 2015 after a battle with cancer. Born November 21, 1948 on Long Island, he lived in Huntington, Boston, Chicago, Minneapolis, Paris, and Denver and worked more than 45 years in the health care industry. George graduated from Chaminade High School in Mineola, NY and Boston College and remained an active alumnus throughout his life. George is survived by his loving wife Susan (Gray), daughter Jane (Rovegno) Chavez, son-in-law Matthew Chavez, and granddaughters Emily and Eve Chavez of Denver; daughter Jennifer (Rovegno) Fallon, son-in-law John Fallon, and granddaughters Chloe and Caroline Fallon of Norwalk, CT; brother Richard Rovegno and sister-in-law Joyce Rovegno of Houston; sister Kathryn Larkin and brother-in-law Ed Larkin of Huntington, NY; sister Mary Elizabeth Bozian and brother-in-law Charles Bozian of Ridgewood, NJ; brother Edward Rovegno and sister-in-law Jennifer Rovegno of Duxbury, MA; brother-in-law William Gray and sister-in-law Charlinda Gray of Bath, ME; and sister-in-law Dauryne Gray of Warwick, RI. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews: Richard Rovegno, Regina Rovegno, Matthew Rovegno, John Larkin, James Larkin, Matthew Larkin, William Bozian, Elizabeth Bozian, Edward James Rovegno, George Francis Rovegno III, Eugenie Rovegno, John Rovegno, Melissa Gray, Kevin Gray, and Andrew Gray. George was preceded in death by his parents George and Kathryn Rovegno of Huntington, NY. Services will be held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 1900 California Street Denver, CO 80202 on January 15, 2016 at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 12801 W. 44th Ave. Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. Family and friends are welcome to a luncheon after the burial at The Windsor 1777 Larimer St. Denver, CO 80202.
