George Andrew Russell

George Andrew Russell, age 79, went home to the Lord on Monday, February 27, 2017. He was briefly residing in Loveland, Colorado. Born September 27, 1937 in Denver, Colorado, he lived in Lakewood, Colorado and worked at Martin Marietta for a short time and Adolph Coors Company for over 38 years until retiring in 1998. George served in the Army for three years, stationed in Alaska as an Ammo Inventory Specialist. He loved cars and was a member of the National Hot Rod Association, and a founding member of the ClockWinders drag racing club in his younger years. His full time hobby was restoring his coupe & roadster. He was loyal to his wife and family, job and cars. George was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Carol, and his parents George and Marquerite Russell. He is survived by his son Jeff Russell and his wife Lisa of Red Cloud, Nebraska and their two children Andrew and Tony; and his daughter Lori Richard and her husband Jeff of Loveland, Colorado and their children Aspen & Joslyn. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, 10:00 am at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, Colorado 80227. Burial will follow at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at 11:30 am, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, Colorado 80235, Staging Area ""B"". Memorial contributions are welcome at American Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
