George R. Schilling

George R. Schilling was born in Denver on June 26, 1942. He passed away on January 16, 2025 at the age of 82. He spent his school years in Cheyenne Wyoming before moving back to Denver. George served 4 years in the Navy after graduating high school. He then attended the Police Academy and proudly served as an Aurora Police Officer for 30 years. 

 George loved to hunt, fish, play softball, water and snow ski and had a love for horses. He was great to share these passions with his family and friends. 

 But his greatest love was for that of his wife Linda and his family. George was an amazing husband of 58 years, a supportive and selfless father to his children Troy and Traci. He cherished being a grandfather to his granddaughters Alli and Sage. 

 He is survived by his wife Linda, his son Troy, his daughter Traci, his brother Mike and his granddaughters Alli and Sage as well as extended family and friends. 

 He is preceded in death by his parents George and Eileen and his sisters Mary Kay and Patty. 

 On Monday February 3, 2025, from 5:00pm-7:00pm there will be a public viewing at Horan & McConaty.

 Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday February 4, 2025, at Horan & McConaty 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave Aurora, CO 80014 at 10:00am. Burial immediately following the service at Ft. Logan at 12:30pm. We will then have a reception at Horan & McConaty at 2:00pm. 

 In lieu of flowers we request donations for George’s favorite charity St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
