Born Jan. 21, 1923 in Rock Falls, Illinois, George entered peacefully in to eternity to be reunited with his wife Marion who preceded him in death. A graduate engineer of the University of Illinois, following duty in World War II where he saw action at Normandy and the Battle of the Buldge as a member of the 101st Airborne Division. In 1950 George moved to Colorado as an employee of the Gates Rubber Co. where he held management positions in manufacturing and cost and planning in both Hose Mfg and MRG. He and Marion spent time in Europe while George was a production mgr at the Belgium Facility. As a member of the Gates Fire Brigade, George was active in directing employee activities and was an avid horse rider, fisherman and golfer at the Pinehurst Country Club. Celebrating George's life and acknowledging his many friends a Memorial Service will held on Nov. 4 at 9:30 AM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80227.
