Georgeann Sue Burgettâour adored wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughterâunexpectedly passed into the loving arms of God on October 20th 2013. Born August 14, 1948 to Angela and George DeCianne in the Italian section of north Denver, Georgeann grew up in the Harvey Park neighborhood in southwest Denver, with brothers Carmine and Michael and her sister Deborah. Following graduation from Abraham Lincoln High School, Georgeann earned a professional degree from business school, which led to a long and productive career working the banking and oil industries. Her life changed when she met a young solider from western Colorado on leave in Denver; Buck Burgett. Buck and Georgeann's relationship grew through letters exchanged from Vietnam, and soon after Buck's discharge from the Army, they were married on December 12th 1970 at All Saints Church in Denver. After living a few years in Rangley, CO, the young couple returned to Denver to start a family, settling close to Georgeann's family. Three childrenâGeorjeana, Anthony and Michaelâcame in quick succession. In 1985, the young family relocated to Jenks, Oklahoma, a suburb of Tulsa, and Georgeann remained there before moving back home to Denver in 2006. Georgeann was defined by her total devotion and dedication to her family and by her incredible work ethic. Georgeann was a strong and faithful Christian, whose faith inspired all around her, which we believe has led her to God's paradise. She leaves behind a bereaving husband, three children and five grandchildren (Daniel â 10, Dominic â 8, Georgianna â 7, Julian â 5, and Matthew â 5). There will be a visitation on Friday, October 25, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, CO.
