Georgiana Elaine Sanelli of Denver, Colorado passed away on November 21, 2020 at Kipling Meadows in Arvada. She was 89. Born on December 23, 1930 in Denver, she was the daughter of Ernest A. and Mary C. (Francalancia) Zito. Georgiana married Emilio Sanelli on June 21, 1952, and together they shared 68 years of marriage.
Georgiana attended St. Patrick’s Catholic grade school and graduated from Holy Family High School in 1948.
After stints at Davis Brothers Pharmacy in Denver and a telephone company in Salt Lake City, Georgiana happily settled into her life as a devout wife, meticulous homemaker and loving mother who raised her two boys to value faith and family.
She will be remembered for her strong faith, unmatched memory for dates and details, joy in watching sports and soap operas, Italian cooking and love for anything chocolate, which she sometimes preferred to a meal. Georgie would bring her delicious homemade chocolate cake anytime there was a family celebration.
She lovingly helped raise all three of her grandchildren, watching and entertaining them while their parents worked.
Along with her husband, Emilio, she is survived by her sons, Michael (Cheryl) and Ernie (Carol); grandchildren, Brianna (Bryan), Mario, and Dana (Spencer); and great-grandchild, Emilia; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. and Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Private interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
