Georgina H. Jordan Castellanos

March 21, 1926 — August 9, 2013

Georgina H. (Barnes) Jordan Castellanos of Thornton, Colorado passed away in her home on August 9, 2013 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her four children Kurt S. Jordan, Kim Michael Jordan, Paula A. Neumann (Henry) and Chris A. Jordan (Valorie); sisters Virginia Rand and Peggy Mahler; four grandchildren Bonnie, Melissa, Jennifer, Rachel; three great grandchildren Carley, Camryn and Eli; and her beloved dog Lilly. Preceded in death by her husbands Rudolph Castellanos and Jack Jordan; and her parents George and Helen Barnes. Georgina, was born in Huntington, New York and lived on the East Coast until moving to Colorado in 1975. She worked at University Hospital and National Jewish Hospital until 1992 caring for patients who needed her. Georgina loved her faith, family, and animals, admired her friends and adored flowers. She enjoyed traveling and had a passion for any slot machine. Viewing will be Thursday, August 15, 2013, 5:00-7:00 PM, with Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM, both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, in Thornton, Colorado. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, August 16, 2013, 11:00 AM, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 11385 Grant Drive, in Northglenn, Colorado. Interment follows at 2:30 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Area ""B"", 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, in Denver, Colorado.
