Gerald ""Jerry"" J. Bianchi

We are deeply saddened to share that Gerald “Jerry” Joseph Bianchi passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019 in Garden City, KS, USA at the age of 78. Jerry was born in Pitcairn, PA, USA on Tuesday, September 9, 1941. On September 14, 1968 he married Marie ""Rusty"" Browne, and in 1972 they moved to Lakewood, Colorado. Jerry is survived by his wife Rusty son Joseph Gerald and his wife Natalie, daughter Christine Lillian and her husband James, and his grandchildren Jacob and his wife Kenna, Rory Marie, Olivia Marie and Reva JoHanna.

To Jerry, family meant everything. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. However, anyone who met Jerry soon learned than everyone he encountered in life also became a part of his family. His door was always open and place ready at his table. Jerry was generous and giving with his time, knowledge, support, caring and love. One of his greatest joys was to be the tour guide for visitors. Jerry loved to sit with people and talk about their relationships, hopes and dreams. He was known as the keeper of the family history not only because of his research on the family tree, but his investment in the stories of each individual.

Jerry was a lover of life who never turned his back on a new opportunity. He was a gypsy always looking to explore and immerse himself in a new place, culture or experience. Jerry was able to combine his love for travel with his career in alternative energy and was able to bring power to small towns and villages around the world including Mexico, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and China.

Since his passing, the family has received overwhelming support and love. Everyone has used one word to embody who Jerry was and than word is kind. Jerry lived by the Golden Rule ""Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."" While the loss of Jerry was sudden and painful, this same sense of kindness was returned to his family by so many. The family would especially like to thank the Kansas State Highway Patrol, Garden City Police and EMS, and the staff at St. Catherine's Hospital, especially those in the Intensive Care Unit.

A Visitation and Vigil to honor Jerry’s life will be held Thursday, October 24, 2019 beginning at 6pm to 8 pm both at Horan and McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 25 2019 at 11 am at St. Judes Catholic Church, 9405 West Florida Avenue, Lakewood Colorado. Entombment will follow at 2:15 PM at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 12801 West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
