Jerry Carr 10-2-1949 ~ 10-15-2016 Jerry passed away on October 15, 2016. He was the devoted husband of Rosanne (Nickless) Carr; Father to Jeremy (Michelle) and Jessica; Grandfather ""Pappy"" of Jackson, Hudson, Ethan and Zoe; Brother to Matt (Jill), Pam and Jean. Also survived by more in-laws, nieces and nephews than he would have ever dared count. Especially when they were in his living room. He was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. After graduating from East High School, he joined the US Army and was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. Once discharged from the Army, he met Rosanne. This past September, they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Jerry was a small business owner on Colorado Blvd, in Cherry Creek North and on South Broadway. Cameras, watch repair, jewelry and bicycles⦠an admittedly eclectic mix, but that was Jerry. And somehow, miraculously, he could always find exactly what he was looking for in his stores. No matter how small it was or which pile of ""valuable goods"" it might be buried under. Jerry could weld a hitch to a car, repair a fragile watch or Grandfather clock, and deep fry a turkey using nothing more than a broom-stick and a coat hanger. Kind of like a modern day MacGyver, when you think about it. Ever the practical one, Jerry would also sleep in his car in Walmart parking lots on road trips (like the truckers do) and eat a full meal of ""samples"" at Costco. Why? Because it's FREE, of course! For all the wonderful adventures and great accomplishments of Jerry's life, nothing meant more to him than his family, a good laugh, and an ice cold beer. We'll all miss him more than he will ever know.
