Gerald ""Jerry"" Wayne Crum, 81 of Aurora, CO passed away on Monday, August 17, 2009. A visitation for his family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2 to 5 p.m. at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue (at South Parker Road). A Celebration of Jerry's Life will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 111 Del Mar Circle, Aurora, at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 2009. A Reception will follow at the church. Burial will follow the reception at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Jerry was born January 7, 1928 in Seibert, CO to Ruel ""Bill"" and Elsie (Mackey) Crum, and wed Mary Jennings on July 13, 1983 in Las Vegas, NV. A very hard working individual, he was a member of the teamsters working construction in Denver for many years. Jerry then drove an eighteen wheeler cross-country, teaming with his wife over the road for over 15 years. He loved to travel, ride his motorcycle, square dance, camp, and fish. He will be remembered for his love of country and patriotism. He served in the U.S. Army shortly after World War II and later with the U.S. Army Reserves and the U.S. Navy Reserves. Jerry was also a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Jerry is survived by his wife Mary, daughters Connie Sprinkle and Karen (Mark) Black; step-daughters Jan (Ken) Robinson and Ann (Greg Kimball) Howell; step-sons Glenn (Traci) Davison, Wayne (Sue) Davison and Dean (Kim) Davison; sisters Dorothy Morley and Wanda Tekavec; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
