Gerald Walter Deane Sr.

Gerald Walter Deane was born in Galesburg, IL in 1923 to his parents Matthew and Elsie Deane. Gerald graduated from High School and became a member of the Army Engineer Corps for three years. Two of those years, 1944 – 1945, he spent in Europe. Upon his discharge, he moved to Denver, CO where he married his Army pen pal Erma Hamrick. They had six children.

Gerald spent 60 years in the commercial printing business.

Gerald is Preceded in death by his sons, Thomas R., David W., Michael and Patrick who were twins born prematurely. He is survived by son Randall A., and Daughter and Amy K. (Mason). After 19 yrs the marriage ended. He then married Mary E. Rodgers, mother of six children . They had one son, Gerald, Jr.

After 51 years of marriage Mary preceded him in death and and he spent his remaining years in Denver, CO.
