79, of Aurora, died December 28, 2009. Born in Minneapolis, MN. Preceded in death by his parents James and Lucille Kraus; brother, James and sister, Helen Wagner(Devaney). He is survived by his wife Mary Ellen; sons, Matthew and Joseph; daughter, Ann Kraus Di Esposti(Eric); grandchildren, Jessica and Aaron French; sisters, Rosemary Armbruster (Howard)and Katy Sperry (Lee); many dear nieces and nephews. Jerry proudly served our country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. He was wounded in the Korean War at Chosin Reservoir. He became a prominent business man in Aurora and Denver, developing small businesses. He was Past President and District Governor of Rotary and a member of the Aurora Club. He was dedicated to raising funds and contibuting to many charitable organizations. He was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church. He died after a long decline in health due to a fall on the tennis courts that caused a brain injury. Recitation of Rosary will be held at 6PM, Monday, January 4, 2010 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave, Aurora. A Mass of Resurrection will be held 10AM, Tuesday at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, 18000 E. Arapahoe Rd, Foxfield, CO, 80016. Interment will follow at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church or the Salvation of Army, 720 Quari Circle, Aurora, 80011.
