Gerald “Jerry” Anthony Ligrani was born in Denver, Colorado on March 20, 1964 to his parents, Anthony Ligrani and Shirley Vecchio. He was raised with his two sisters, Chantel and Briana. Jerry was educated through Westminster Public Schools where he attended Utah Junction Elementary, Scott Carpenter Junior High, and Iver C. Ranum High School. Jerry began his pursuit of higher education at Colorado College before transferring to CU Boulder, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in sports medicine. His passion for learning led him to Regis University, where he completed an MBA. Jerry built a thriving career in IT, dedicating over 18 years to business consulting. He approached his work with unwavering dedication and a spirit of excellence.
Jerry met Tammi Marrone at St. Rocco’s Feast on August 20, 1994, and their connection quickly blossomed. They were united in holy matrimony on July 18, 1998, beginning a life filled with love, travel, and shared adventures. On September 19, 2002, they welcomed their greatest blessing, their son, Anthony “Tony” Kenneth Ligrani. Jerry embraced fatherhood with pride and joy, cherishing every moment with Tony. He was a devoted father who attended school events, cheered from the sidelines at soccer games, and prioritized spending quality time with his son, fostering a deep and lasting bond.
Jerry cherished spending his free time with his lifelong friends and family, always seeking opportunities to celebrate and uplift those he loved. He believed in living life to the fullest and encouraged others to do the same. An active and energetic individual, Jerry enjoyed golfing and skiing, and in his younger years, he proudly competed as a triathlete.
To know Jerry was to love him. He was mischievous, brilliant, faithful, and always ready with a clever joke. A dependable and selfless friend, he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Jerry had a generous spirit and took pride in mentoring those who sought his guidance. He worked tirelessly to offer thoughtful advice and unwavering support, leaving a lasting impact on everyone in his circle.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Shirley Ligrani.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Tammi Ligrani; his son, Tony Ligrani; sisters, Chantel (Rocky) Ligrani Michaelson and Briana (Devin) Ligrani Reidle; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He will be greatly missed.
