Geraldine Marguerite Clark

Geraldine Marguerite Clark (Gerri), age 85, passed away peacefully in her home on October 17, 2015, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Gerri was born in Hastings, Nebraska to parents Gerald and Marguerite Swingle on December 27, 1929 but lived most of her life in Denver, Colorado where she graduated from Denver West High. Gerri married Delbert M. Clark in 1950 and they spent their married life together in a 20 by 20 block neighborhood of Southeast Denver where they were close to her Mother Marguerite Swingle and children Marshal D. Clark and Cheryl L. DeFoe. Gerri is survived by children Cheryl DeFoe and Marshal (Kathryn) Clark; grandchildren Deedrea (John) Grein, Eric (Jennifer) DeFoe and Justin Clark; and great-grandchildren Kate and Sofia Grein. In addition to being a loving mother and a family genealogist, Gerri was an attendance clerk at Merrill Junior High School, a Language Arts Teaching Assistant at Thomas Jefferson High School and a leasing agent for Canyon Club and Eastmoor Apartments in Southeast Denver. Gerri was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years Delbert Clark in 2008 and her brother Delwyn Swingle in August 2015.
