Geraldine Contreras

Geraldine Mary (Maggie) Twomey Contreras, born March 25 1937, passed away on November 18, 2020 after a full life as a proud, feisty and faith-filled Irish woman. Her husband, Edward, and her son, Ricky, preceded her in death. She continues to be immensely loved by her family, including her 4 daughters: Ellen Schleicher, Victoria Laniohan (Lonnie Roth), Carla (Dean) Trovato, and Gerri Contreras (Christopher Stevenson), 9 grandchildren: Ricky (Jasmin) Laniohan, Jessica (Kyle) Coffey, Sarah (Gino) Callacna, Katrina Laniohan (Ken Le), Kayla (Randy) Heller, Dominic (Taylor) Trovato, Christiana Trovato, Erica Trovato and Tully Maggie Contreras. She adored her 6 great grandchildren—Camila, Gabriel, Myles, Wyatt, Amelia and Harrison and cherished her nieces and nephews. Later in life, she enjoyed playing bingo, reading, going to the movies, shopping,  experiencing culinary adventures, getting glamorous and chatting with friends and family. She will be remembered by many for her bright memory, her lively personality, her social nature and her generous spirit. We honor her life and her memory by carrying her energy and love with us daily.

Visitation to take place, Wednesday, December 2, 2020, 9:30am at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church (3959 E. Iliff Ave, Denver, CO 80210), with Mass to follow at 10am. To join us remotely, this service will be livestreamed through the following link https://mpbdenver.org/live/ . A separate memorial will occur in California to minimize travel and respect public health recommendations.

In lieu of flowers, we chose to honor her memory with donations to the Family to Family Christmas program through Most Precious Blood church ministry.
