Geraldine Loretta ""Gerry"" Magnie

Geraldine Loretta Magnie 1927-2016 Geraldine, ""Gerry"" Magnie, 89 died in her beloved Congress Park home in Denver on October 8, 2016. A mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Gerry was famous for her bustling social life and legions of friends. Whether you were a neighbor for 60 years or a new member at Saint Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, Gerry cherished her friendship with you. She was also a friend and volunteer to many vital Denver organizations where she did everything from make lunches for the homeless to sew dresses for African children. An avid reader and lover of the arts, Gerry and friends could be found at plays, concerts and any event promising a piece of cake and great conversation. Gerry is survived by her 8 children (and their respective spouses), 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and, of course, dozens of friends. Services include the Recitation of the Rosary Tuesday, October 11, 2016, 6:00 pm and a Funeral Mass Wednesday, October 12, 2016, 12:00 pm at Saint Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, 2301 York Street, Denver, Colorado, 80205. In lieu of flowers, Gerry has requested donations be made to Saint Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, the Dominican Health Home Agency or Little Sisters of Poor.
