Geraldine A. Quintero, formerly of Denver, died June 14th in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 96. She was born to Mary Elizabeth and Edward Charon on February 23, 1913 in Ludington, Michigan and graduated from St. Simon High School. On May 28, 1936 she married Henry M. Quintero of Mexico City in Wilmett, IL. They lived in Mexico until 1948 when they moved to California. They settled in Denver CO in 1952 and raised their two daughters, Sherry and Linda. In 2005, Gerry moved to Spring Branch, Texas to live with Linda. She worked with her husband at Denver Inner Spring Co and El Molino Foods until 1983. She was a member of the Church of the Risen Christ in Denver and St. Joseph-Honey Creek in Spring Branch. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of more than 60 years, Henry Quintero, her parents, Edward and Mary Elizabeth Charon, her brother Edward J. Charon, and her sisters Myrtle Charon, Florence Sullivan, Marjorie Hansen, and Vera Wikander. She is survived by her daughters Sherry A. Morrison (Paul) of Santa Fe, NM, Linda Quintero Morgan (James) of Spring Branch, TX, and her grandson Michael R. Morrison of Albuquerque, NM. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00am, on Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Church of the Risen Christ Catholic Church, 3060 So. Monaco Parkway, Denver, CO. 80222 Inurnment will be at Mount Olivet Mausoleum, Denver, CO.
