The Life of

Gernicha Ladell Davis

On Thursday, November 2nd, 1989 a beautiful baby girl was born to Golden Rose Symonette; She named this jewel Gernicha Ladell Davis. Gernicha was greatly loved from the day she was born and those around her could sense her beautiful, gentle loving spirit. She was blessed with a melodious voice which she used to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ frequently. Gernicha was often found writing new love songs to Jesus and was never afraid to worship outwardly in song and praises. She was gifted with music and loved to play the drums too. Additionally, Gernicha had a wonderful sense of humor and a continuous smile on her face.

Her compassion for others, often led to her taking care of children or the elderly in need of assistance. Since Gernicha had no children of her own, she showered her niece and nephews with her affections and cared for them whenever her schedule would allow her.

Gernicha’s formative years were shaped in Miami, Florida. She later moved to Bradenton, Florida and in 2013 to Denver, Colorado in pursuit of employment.

Gernicha began her early education at Cutler Ridge Elementary School in Cutler Bay Florida, followed by Lee Middle School and Pace Center for Girls in Bradenton, Florida. Gernicha’s passion for cooking and trying new dishes soon urged her to joined Bradenton Florida Culinary Arts School where she was devoted to learning the skills of a chef.

On November 23rd, 2020 Gernicha slipped away peacefully and quietly as she was ushered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
