In Loving Memory Gertrude Louise Schaeffer Born June 14th, 1936 Carbondale, Colorado. Passed away September 22nd, 2012 at age 76. Survived by her Husband, Robert L. Schaeffer. Four Sons and daughter-in-laws, David and his wife Jeannie Schaeffer of Genoa, Colorado, Edward and his wife Katrina Schaeffer of Arvada, Colorado, Steven and his wife Ann Schaeffer of Lakewood, Colorado, Dana and his wife Michelle Schaeffer of Lakewood, Colorado. Eleven Grandchildren, Sean and his wife Elizabeth, Nechelle, Dage, Robert and his wife Alicia, Stephanie, Cassandra and Annabelle, Megan, Daniel, Christina Roth, Lance Nichols. Great Grandchildren, Aurora, Liddya Rose and Daylin Schaeffer, Tiffine, Josh and Ashley Hinton, Kelsey and Dewayne Roth. One sister, Patricia M. Eurich of Friend, Nebraska and two brothers, Jack L. Whitbeck of Canyon County, California & Joe Ransom of Fort Collins, Colorado. Louise worked at Coney Island from 1974 to 1992 when she retired after 18 years. Louise was a member of Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Denver for 48 years where she was active in all aspects of the church. Louise always put family first and was the true heart of our family. Her interest's included crafts, crocheting and computers. She made something for all her grandkids and great grandkids and took much joy in crocheting for them. She did the family genealogy on both sides of the family while spending time on her computer. She was very much an animal lover of her three dogs and bird. Louise was best known by her family and friends as loving, giving and kind. Louise always made time for family and spent many hours with her beloved husband and best friend of 58 years, Robert. Thank you everyone for the many expressions of kindness, support and love you have shown to us during this period of bereavement for our family. It has been a comforting blessing to each of us. Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2012, 2:00 PM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4500 Wadsworth Boulevard, Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033.
