Gilbert Vigil, Jr.

Gilbert Vigil Jr., 77 died at Sunny Acres Villas on November 9, 2021. He was born on February 13, 1944 and raised in Denver Colorado.

Gilbert is preceded in death by his grandmother Manuelita Otero Vigil, mother Aremella and father Gilbert Vigil. Survived by his wife Mary Vigil, Sister Eva Rees(William), step children Theresa Tafoya(Bob), Jimmy Tafoya, Michael Jiminez(Shannon), deceased Jesse Tafoya, Penny Garnica and sibling Terry Ann Vigil(Hosier) He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who would call Gilbert "Uncle Pepe".

Gilbert and Mary met while they were attending the same church. They would have been married for almost 37 yrs this month. He enjoyed his life with Mary and shared their love for God while being very active in their church.

Gilbert enjoyed watching Western movies, being active with his church and working at Chubby's with owner Julian Cordova. Gilbert loved his dogs, Jay and Star, who was always at his side when watching TV.

Gilbert will be cremated and there will be a "Celebration of Life" at Church Radiance, 8301 Rosemary Street, Commerce City on Tuesday, November 23rd at 10:30-12:30. Reception to follow afterwards.
