Gisela Despard

Gisela Despard, of Denver passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 10, 2020 surrounded by loved ones in the comfort of her home. Gisela was born October 27, 1931 to Ernst and Erna Knuttel in Fulda, Germany where she spent her childhood years. Gisela was married to Roy Despard in 1952 and emigrated to the United States and very proud to become an american citizen. Gisela started a career in the late 1960s with Sears Roebuck & Co becoming one of the first successful female managers. Gisela always enjoyed spending time with family. She was vibrant, outgoing and generous. Her captivating personality attracted everyone and conversations with her were entertaining and animated. Gisela is survived by daughters Patricia and Pamela; grandchildren Rochelle, Heather, Andrew & Hilary; and great grandchildren Markus, Samuel, Mason, Aubrey and Anna. She was preceded in death by her husband LeRoy and son Patrick.
