Glade F. Staflin, 85, of Littleton, Colorado, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Glade graduated from Osakis High School in Osakis, Minnesota in 1943. He proudly served his country as a First Lieutenant in the Army Air Forces during World War II. After the war, he enrolled at the University of Minnesota and graduated with a BS in Pharmacy in 1950. He worked for Roith Drug in St. Paul for several years and then began a 29 year career with Abbott Laboratories. Upon retirement, Glade found himself busy with many activities including his lifelong passions of fishing and carpentry and new interests of golf, travel, photography and computers. Throughout his life, he was active in the Presbyterian Church serving as an elder and Clerk of Session. He will be remembered for his love of God, love of life, love of family and his sense of humor. Surviving him are his beloved wife of 57 years, Sally; daughters, Barbara and husband Richard Allison, Mary and husband David Scheible; grandchildren, Joseph and Daniel Allison, and Kate, Sara, and Emily Scheible; sister, Clarice Crotty; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his son, John James; sister, Elaine; and brother, Norton. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 10:20 A.M. at Holly Creek. Interment at Fort Snelling in St. Paul, Minnesota.
