Glen March Jr.

May 26, 1955 — July 20, 2019

Glen March Jr., born May 26th, 1955 in Denver, Colorado, went to be with the Lord in Heaven the 20th of July, 2019. The loving husband of Deb March, who God blessed her with for 34 wonderful years of marriage. Beloved son of Glen and LaVonne March Sr., brother Michael March, sister Julie March Starling Hohman, brother-in-law to John Hennessy and Bernard Hohman, uncle to Madi Starling, Bryan (Betsy) Hennessy, Marty (Sara) Hennessy and Steve Hennessy and great uncle to several.

Glen graduated from Bear Creek High School, earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Colorado, a Masters degree from Colorado State University, and an administrative education degree from the University of Phoenix. Glen taught business and marketing education for 21 years for Jefferson County Public Schools. He was a corporate sales manager at the Holiday Inn in Denver for one year and served as a business education specialist for Colorado Community College. Glen served 10 years as the career and technical education coordinator for Douglas County School District. In addition, he taught business classes for Red Rocks Community College and Arapahoe Community College for 35 years. Upon retirement in 2009, he worked part time positions for Ralph Schomp BMW, Castle Pines Country Club, and Lone Tree Golf Course.

- Authored and implemented Carl Perkins grant funding proposal for Douglas County Schools
- Developed curriculum for secondary and post-secondary business and marketing programs
- Developed and maintained district budgets for career and technical education programs
- Supervised Post-Secondary Education Options Program and College Ready Program
- Certified facilitator, 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens (Franklin Covey)
- Served on core team to plan new district high schools and programs
- Served as Policy Fellow for Career and Technical Education
- Supervised district career and technical education programs
- Presented leadership training at state and national venues
- FBLA/DECA advisor
- Honorary Chapter FFA Degree
- Business/Marketing Department Chairperson
- Board Member, Colorado FBLA (two terms)

Glen was a member of Cherry Hills Community Church which he attended for 19 years. Glen was dearly loved by all and will be missed greatly. A service will be held in his honor at 10:30am on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Cherry Hills Community Chapel.

Donations may be made to CBE (Colorado Business Educators) or CMEA (Colorado Marketing Education Association). Make the check payable to the appropriate organization and mail to Elizabeth Adolphi at Cherry Creek High School, 9300 E. Union Ave., Greenwood Village, CO 80111.

Each organization will develop an application for the funds. The funds will be used for students/advisors to attend FBLA/DECA conferences.
