Parker

Glenn R. Bauman, age 73, passed away in his home in Parker, Colorado, on May 27, 2021, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.  He was born in Pueblo, Colorado on November 1, 1947 to Harry Bauman and Elmina (Rowland) Bauman.  Glenn graduated from Fowler High School in 1965 and attended Colorado State University Pueblo before trying out to play baseball in the rookie league.

He married his loving wife, Janice, in March of 1989 whom he met while working at Johns Manville.

Glenn enjoyed playing softball and in later years, golf, along with being an avid NASCAR fan.  He took several baseball trips to see almost every Major League Baseball park and also attended two Colorado Rockies fantasy camps.

In the early 70’s he was involved with the Northglenn Jaycees.  He worked for Shell Chemical Company and Gates Rubber Company prior to joining Johns Manville Corporation in 1973 where he worked until his retirement as an environmental engineer in 2002.  Following his love of baseball, he then joined the Colorado Rockies organization where he worked game days through the 2019 season.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Janice, and daughter Amber (Christian) Veillette of Highlands Ranch, Colorado and grandchildren Sebastien, Olivia and Madeleine. He was proud of all of them.  He is also survived by his brother Don and his wife Marilyn of Wilmington, Delaware and their children Andrew (Pam) Bauman, Mark Bauman and Alisa (Marcus) Bowman and their families. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law Carol, Don, Ed and Diane along with their families, and several cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister.

Glenn’s daughter and grandchildren were the light of his life and he loved spending time with them.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
