Gloria Ann (Sunderland) Bradley (1929-2013) of Lakewood, Colorado departed this life on Friday, 4 October 2013 of natural causes at the age of 83. Gloria, born in Warren, Ohio, was the proud mother of red bradley, Lynn Evans, Joyce McSpadden and Susan Dague. She will be loving remembered by her 12 grandchildren Freesia, Josh, Amber, Ryan, Penny, Hannah, Taylor, Grant, Trever, Tessa, Chelsea and Weston, 11 great-grandchildren, and her cousins Lois (Wilson) Jourdan and Ben Wilson. Gloria married Keith Winters Bradley (1952) in New York City after their high school and college courtship in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Both Gloria and Keith were graduates of Wilkinsburg Jr. Sr. High School and both proceeded and graduated from college â Gloria was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh in education. Their journey together took from NYC to Denver, Grand Junction, Salt Lake City and back to Denver where they remained during their lives and raised their family. Gloria was an avid gardener, an advocate for the Denver Library system (she was the driving force behind the creation of the Bear Valley library), Phi Mu, Panhellenic Council, PTA member, and an ever presence at the Lutheran Hospital Volunteers and Blue House. In her spare time she enjoyed puzzles, canning Grand Junction peaches, homemade root beer, camping with her children and grandchildren, an occasional Daiquiri, bridge, and a spirited game of Monopoly. She focused on her family, holidays and service to the community. A Memorial Service will be held Friday 11 October 2013 , 2:00 pm at Horan & McConaty, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gloria's memory to the Lutheran Medical Volunteer Services (8300 West 38th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033) or PeopleFirst Hospice.
