Gloria Grimm died peacefully Monday, August 30 after a short illness. She is survived by her son, Eddie, his wife Candy and her daughter Barbara, her grand children: Corey, Edward IV, and Chris and by 2 great grandchildren: Edward V and Corey II. Gloria was born and raised in New York City and was fortunate to have a second home in Schroon Lake, New York in the Adirondacks and in later years in Stuart, Florida. Her husband, Ed, died in 1989, Gloria and Ed had been very happily married for 41 years. Gloria was an enthusiastic, passionate, funny woman who, throughout her life, translated her zest for life into her family, her career at the Institute of International Education, as a docent at the Schroon Lake Historical Society, the Telephone Pioneers, water aerobics, boating, traveling, reading and always enjoyed "trying new restaurants". She will be missed by her family and her many friends.
