Gloria Louise Barella Phillips

Gloria Louise Barella Phillips, 88 years young, born in Montana, passed away at Saint Paul's Healthcare Center in Denver, CO, August 28, 2015. Cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet near Denver. As per her wishes no services will be held at this time. She was born to Joseph ""Chief,"" and Genevieve ""Gem"" Barella on March 18, 1927. They moved to Casper, WY in 1935 where she attended area schools. She then met Louis A. ""Robbie"" Roberts, and was married. From that marriage came three children, Steven A., Garry Paul, and Gloria Lyn Roberts. After the sudden loss of Robbie, she later met Tom Phillips and from that marriage came two sons, Randall ""Zate"", and Mark ""Buncy"" Phillips. Gloria was a lifelong member of the Basilica Catholic Church of Denver where she made her home for more than 45 years. She was embraced by the culture of the world, which led her to travel abroad to seek out those curiosities. She worked for the City of Denver Child Welfare Division until her retirement. She had a deep love for her Denver Broncos and was a regular at the games. Gloria also had a love for Wyoming Cowboys football and the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps. She nurtured her world with honesty, charm, wit, dignity, and intelligence. She has now joined her three sons, her mother and father, and of course her brothers and sister. Her surviving daughter, Gloria Lyn, her son Buncy, (Barb), sisters Delores of Texas, Barbara (Jim) of Colorado Springs, Luke (Dona), and Frank (Barbara) Barella of Casper, along with many nieces, nephews, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren will carry on with her in their hearts. She will be dearly missed. She has already peeked through the windows of Heaven and whispered to us all: ""Trust me when I say- I'm really alright now.""
