Gloria Swetlic,72, of Littleton Colorado, passed away on June 16, 2023, of complications from a ruptured brain aneurysm.
Gloria was born in Denver, CO on November 6, 1950. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado and had a long career as a teacher for Denver Public Schools. Outside of her role as an educator, she found immense joy in her family. She was a devoted wife to her husband Bruce, who preceded her in death. She leaves behind her daughter Sarah Claussen and son-in-law Ryan. Gloria was also blessed with the gift of being a loving grandmother to her grandson Dylan, whom she adored beyond measure. She will be missed by her grand puppy, Finn, who she loved dearly. Gloria spent endless summers camping all over the US with Bruce and Sarah, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved parents John and Rose Gonzales. She leaves behind her four siblings Roseanna (Charles) Bottinelli, John Gonzales, Pep (Fran) Gonzales, Gigi Martinez and nieces Shannon (Rick) Miltenberger, Lela Gonzales, and Joleen Granados who, along with their extended families, will forever cherish the memories of their time with her.
We invite all who knew and loved Bruce and Gloria to gather on July 21, 2023 at Peak Recreation Center (Littleton, CO) from 5:00pm - 8:00pm for a combined Celebration of Life. Please RSVP to Roseanna @ 303-550-5827.
In honor of Gloria's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Denver Teachers Club, a non-profit that held deep meaning for her. https://www.dpssbp.org/donations/
