Gloria Louise Young

Gloria Louise (Brown) Young passed away February 15, 2013 peacefully at her south Denver home. Born on December 2nd 1928 in Berthoud Colorado she was the only child of Lewis E. and Stella K. Brown. She attended South High School and Denver University where she earned a Master's in Education with a minor in Music. She taught second grade for 10 years at Garden Place Elementary as well as private piano instruction. In 1959, she married Boyd Wiley Young Jr. and raised two sons, Paul (married to Trudy Forsyth) and Christopher (married to Rhonda Hayward). Gloria was a member of Mu Phi Epsilon and enjoyed playing 2-piano works, and exploring the Colorado Mountains with her family. She also enjoyed photographing natural sites throughout the southwest U.S. Please share memories and leave condolences for Gloria's family be signing the guestbook.
