Gordon Jensen Maxwell

Gordon Jensen Maxwell, 83, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away October 5, 2018. He was born December 21, 1934 in Preston Idaho to George McCann Maxwell Sr. and Jessie Jensen Maxwell.

Gordon was a very talented salesman for his entire life. He was mostly self-employed, owning car dealerships and painting companies. He had a part in raising nine children.

Gordon is survived by children and grandchildren; son, Danny Gordon Maxwell (wife Cathy Maxwell) and their children, Justin Adam Maxwell, Brandon Gordon Maxwell and Angela Marie Maxwell; son, Rick George Maxwell (wife Jodi Maxwell) and their children, Branden Maxwell and Brandy Maxwell Haskin; son, Maurel McCann Maxwell and his children, Madison Joan and Mason McCann Maxwell; adopted girls, JaeLe and Jana Maxwell; stepson, Robert Lee MacDonald and his children, Dayne Ashton and Rheese Ashlyn MacDonald; stepdaughter, Dawn MacDonald McCann (husband Florian B. McCann II) and their children, Peyton Savannah, Florian B III, Macson Shea and Logan Kelly McCann; stepdaughter, Traci MacDonald Bartsch (husband Karl Bartsch) and their children, Dylan Andrew, Blake Allen and Kaylee Darlene Bartsch. Gordon is also survived by many great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, including his brother George’s children, Vickie Maxwell Boone, Scott Maxwell and David Maxwell.

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jessie Maxwell; sister, Carol Maxwell; brother George McCann Maxwell Jr.; daughter, Cindy Maxwell and nephew, Steve Maxwell.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:30am, on Friday, October 19, 2018, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4701 South Chambers Road, Aurora, CO. 80015.
