Gordon John Whittall, 80, passed away November 22, 2008. Born November 19, 1928 in Birmingham, England, Gordon is survived by his wife, Eileen; Daughters: Susan (Jesse) Castillo, Janet (David) Rice, Elizabeth (Robert) Whittall-Kamm, and Annita (Gabriel) Aguirre; Grandchildren: Sabina (Michael) Claus, Crystal Ryan, Valerie (Steven) Cornell, Melissa (Fred) Price, Amanda Whittall-Kamm, and Evan Whittall-Kamm; Great Grandchildren: Shannon Mitchell, Jessica Mitchell, Troy Ryan, and Logan Cornell. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Matilda Whittall. Gordon was a Master Mason and a member of Englewood Lodge No. 166, a former Drum Major for the City of Denver Pipe Band, and was proud to become a U.S. citizen in 1976. In addition to enjoying hiking, camping, wood carving, and climbing 14'ers, Gordon was a Structural Engineer with Martin Marietta and Sterns Rogers. The Whittall family would like acknowledge the following special people: Carol, you went above and beyond in all the support you provided to Gordon and Eileen, and they truly love and appreciate you. Dale, the spiritual council and love will always be remembered. Dr. Frantz, thank you for your support. Hospice Care, you were amazing in assisting not only Gordon and Eileen but the entire family. A Memorial Service in Gordon's honor will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 29, 2008 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 11040 Colorado Blvd. in Thornton. Reception at the church to follow.
