Grant Alon Kinn

May 29, 1956 — September 30, 2019

Grant Alon Kinn began his last adventure on September 30, 2019, surrounded by his wife and children, after bravely battling pancreatic cancer for the last year.

Grant was loved by many, particularly by his wife, children, grandchildren, and everyone else's babies and dogs (nicknamed the baby and dog whisperer). Grant worked most of his adult life as an executive in the pharmacy industry, and was well respected by his bosses, colleagues and employees. Grant was born in Montana, but grew up in Cody, Wyoming, popular with his friends and classmates. He was captain of the football team, basketball and track star, Homecoming King and all around heartthrob. He raised in the ranks at McKesson starting in 1982, ending up as a Sr. Vice President, then became the Executive Director for RxPlus Pharmacies from 2006-2018, and finished his career as the VP of Succession and Education at IPC (Independent Pharmacy Cooperative). He served on the board of both University of Colorado School of Pharmacy and Regis School of Pharmacy, and in 2011, he was awarded the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy's Distinguished Coloradan Award for his service to the school, and the profession of independent pharmacy. He would always say ""I love what I do, and who I do it for"", and it showed. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he loved to hunt and fish, travel, drink fine wine, and took great pride in his beautiful lawn and garden.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Kinn; Children; Heather Kinn, Beau (Nikki) Kinn, Nicole (Chris) Wertz; step-children Brandon (Makenzi) Hein, Blake Hein, Cooper Hein; grandchildren Jaiden Kinn, Avery Seeley, James O'Rourke, Kevin Wertz, Alex Wertz, Corbin Munro, Dylann Munro; brothers Vernon Kinn and Keith Kinn; step-brothers Randy and Jack Gallagher; step-sister Karen Korell; as well as multiple nieces and nephews.

The family would like to invite friends to join them for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Horan and McConaty, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado 80227, with a reception following.
