Greg Birdwhistell passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2025, at the age of 72. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Greg accomplished many things in his life. He served in the Navy for 6 years, worked as a photographer, EMT, and various other jobs before settling into commercial refrigeration which kept him gainfully employed for the next 35 years. Greg loved Colorado and the many outdoor activities it offers. He was a musician, an artist, and a great cook. He was deeply spiritual, a loving husband, and a proud father and grandfather of his blended family. Greg will be remembered for his easy, quiet demeanor and his great sense of humor, but mostly for being "one of the good guys”.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 1st at 10am at the Horan & McConaty Thornton Chapel. Greg will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 1pm the same day, where military honors will be rendered.
A reception will follow at Northglenn United Church Fellowship Hall, 10500 Grant Street, Northglenn CO 80233. Snacks and drinks will be available for those who do not wish to make the drive to Ft. Logan but want to spend time with the family on their return. Lunch will be served at 2pm. Please wear a Hawaiian shirt (Greg’s signature style) or something colorful as we celebrate the life of Greg Birdwhistell..
