Gregory Michael Duran

Gregory Michael Duran, 44, of Niceville, Florida, passed away on December 8, 2024, after a courageous four-year battle with cancer.

Originally born in Denver, Colorado, Greg graduated from the New Mexico Military Institute and dedicated 23 years of honorable service in the United States Air Force as a Fuel Management Specialist and First Sergeant. During his career, he served several tours overseas, earned numerous decorations, and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management.

Greg shared his journey with his devoted wife, Liz Duran, whom he cherished for 22 years. Their partnership, built on mutual respect, love, and unwavering support, which led others to refer to them as the "Dynamic Duo." Together, they raised a family he was deeply proud of, leaving behind his legacy through his two daughters, Adrianna and LiliAnna.

He is survived by his wife, Liz Duran; his two daughters, Adrianna and LiliAnna; his father, John Duran; his mother, Christina Duran; and his sister, Catherine Molina.Greg's radiant spirit touched the lives of countless individuals. He was a beacon of courage, intelligence, and kindness, always ready with a smile and a helping hand, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him. Though he is no longer physically present, his memory will continue to inspire and uplift us. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held starting at 9am Friday, December 27, 2024 followed by Service at 11am. Both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood. Interment will be at 12:30pm, Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area B.
