Guy L. Ecker, 87, passed away August 31, 2005. He was born October 1, 1917 in Sharon Springs, Kansas, a son of Guy L. and May Bell Baker Ecker. Guy worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad for 40 years. He loved wood-working and was a master at making anything with wood. He loved fishing and he especially loved his PT Cruiser. Guy started playing the violin when he was 9-years old and continued playing into his later years. He was an active member of the LDS Church and worked for many years in the Temple. Guy is survived by two daughters, Judy L. (Terry) Meyer, Brighton, CO; and Janelle L. Buswell, Orlando, Florida; three grandchildren, Jimmy and Rocko Buswell, Denver, CO and Stephanie Buswell, of Orlando, FL; a sister, Ethel Cochran, Wheatridge, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth E. Ecker; parents; one brother and two sisters. Family was very important to Guy and he took great pride in participating in the 'ËEcker Family Christmas Party' every year for his whole life. He hopes this tradition will continue for generations to come. He was loved by many and will be truley missed. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 6th, 5-7pm, at the Horan and McConaty at 3101 South Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood. The Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005, at 11:00am, in the Marston Lake 1st Ward/Tufts Building, 999 East Tufts Ave., with a viewing at the Church from 10-10:45am. Burial, Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Blvd, 1:00pm, Staging Area 'B'.
