H. Ed Catherman passed away on March 17, 2015 at the age of 82. He was born July 22, 1932 to Harris Albert Catherman and Verna Headly Catherman in Armour, South Dakota. Growing up he worked on his parent's farm. In February of 1951 Ed joined the Army. He served in the Korean War and was honorable discharged in 1954. He earned a Purple Heart, the Korean Service Ribbons, a Bronze Star and the United Nations Service Medal. He married Delores S. Fink on April 10, 1953 at Hope Lutheran Church in Delmont, South Dakota. After Ed was discharged from the army he lived in Columbus, Indiana for 3 years. In 1957 he moved to Golden, Colorado. He worked 27 years for the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of Denver as a service and refrigeration technician. After retiring from Pepsi Ed was a co-owner of a tire and automotive repair shop in Golden. During retirement Ed and his wife enjoyed traveling and fishing. Ed is survived by his wife of 61 years, Delores and his 3 daughters Connie Scovill, Audrey Meyers and Denise Renne, grandsons Jason and Robert Scovill, his brother David and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Brenda, grandson Derick Scovill and 3 brothers, Verner, Charles (Bud) and Don. A Visitation will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado. The Interment will follow the Funeral Service at Golden Cemetery, 755 Ulysses Street, Golden, Colorado.
