H. Lee Deck

Lee Deck passed into the arms of our Lord Feb.4, 2018. He was born to Dewey Deck and Elsie (Bilbrey) Deck May 4, 1930 in Algood, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his wife P. Joanne Deck. He leaves sister Ruth Colton, daughters Patricia (Pat), Rebecca (Becky) and Barbara (Barb) and granddaughters, Taylor, Michaela, Chloe and Mia Deck. Lee has a BA in Music Education from Olivet Nazarene University in Kanakee, Illinois. He began working for Kroger stores in Detroit, Michigan at 14 and continued to work in the grocery business the majority of his life. He and Joanne were married July 22, 1950 and they remained in Illinois until 1965 when he began working for K Mart and eventually for Safeway as a member of the management team until he retired in 1994. They moved to Payson, Arizona where he began working part time for a small nursery in the area. They returned to Colorado in 2000 to be closer to their grandchildren. Lee worked at Harding's Nursery and became the ""rose guy"" until his final retirement in 2013. Interment will be in the Cremation Gardens at Horan and McConaty, 5303 Countyline Rd, Centennial, Colorado.
