H. Ross Sibley, of Thornton, Colorado, born on September 21, 1937 in Gary, Indiana, to the late Ruth Crouse Sibley and the late H. Ross Sibley, passed away at age 80 on August 23, 2018.
He attended University of Northern Colorado & Otero Jr. College. From 1958 to 1969, Ross served in the Army National Guard and he also worked in the Cement industry as a salesman at Monolith Cement Company until he retired in 1987.
Ross was married to Mary Agnes and is survived by his sons, Ross (Ann) Sibley, Mark (Lynn) Sibley, and Paul (Lena) Sibley; daughters, Colleen (Bob) Heitzler, Lisa Sibley, and Marilyn (Chris) Wohlford; sister, Sara Sibley Shaffer; grandchildren, Kahaiaokaponia Sibley, Danny Sibley,Billy Sibley, Craig Heitzler, Kawaipunahele Sibley, Abby Wohlford, Carly Heitzler, Delaney Sibley, Wade Wohlford, Landon Sibley, Christa Heitzler, Kendall Sibley, Savanah Sibley, and Agnes-Rose Sibley; niece, Amy (David) Shaffer Curtis; and nephews, Trey (Rachel) Shaffer and David (Barbara) Shaffer.
Ross had a passion for golf, hunting, and fishing. He was a Board Member & President of Adams County District 12 Board of Education, a member of Knights of Columbus, and a Board Member of North Metro Fire & Rescue.
Friends and family can pay their respects at the rosary service on Thursday, August 30 from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 11385 Grant Drive, Northglenn, Colorado, 80233. Following that, there will be a funeral service from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, with a reception immediately afterwards at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Alzheimers Association, Colorado Chapter.
