b. May 22, 1940

H. Blaine Thomas, 80, of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away on November 27th, 2020.  Preceded in death by his wife Dalene Thomas of 59 years. Father of Rob, Christopher, and Tim.  Grandfather of 8, Great Grandfather of 3, and step Grandfather of 4.  Brother to Betsy Thomas and George Thomas and brother in-law to Dennis Towndrow and Randy Towndrow.

Blaine Thomas was a loving and gentle soul.  He loved to ski, play games, and canoe.  He was youthful in spirit and cared very much for his family.  He traveled the world with his life long wife, Dalene.  They saw many wonders from around the world.

Blaine was born in Whitewater, Wisconsin.  He moved with his family to Colorado and graduated from North High School in Denver.  He attended Colorado State University and completed the ROTC program.  While in college he met his wife of 59 years, Dalene Towndrow.  Blaine went on to enlist in the US Army where he was trained as a helicopter pilot.  Blaine spent one tour in Korea helping protect the 38th parallel.  He served a 2nd term in the Vietnam war.  Following his tour in Vietnam, he returned to his home that Dalene had recently purchased in Lakewood, Colorado.  Blaine helped raise three boys who eventually blessed him with a large extended family.  Blaine worked as a bakery supervisor for Keebler Company for many years.

A private interment at Fort Logan Cemetery, will follow a private Celebration of Life Memorial.  Strict Covid regulations will be adhered to.
