Hanna R. Nevin

Hanna R. Nevin, age 101, of Aurora, Colorado, died May 17, 2014. Mrs. Nevin was born Hanna Rachel Taylor in Santa Fe, New Mexico on August 10, 1912. Hanna was a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse and a homemaker. She worked at St. Joseph's Hospital, the Ave Maria Clinic, and the Visiting Nurses' Association. She was very active in Denver's Catholic community and had been the recipient of the Julia Greeley Award. She was a talented artist and has left a treasure of paintings for her family to enjoy and pass down to future generations. Hanna was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Thomas W. Nevin. She is survived by a son, R. Kent (Pamela) Johnson; step-children, Michael (Mary Marlene) Nevin, Sheila (Mike Crawford) Nevin and Kathleen (Bill) Hall; she leaves 11 treasured grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. A Holy Rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at 7:00pm, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 South Colorado Blvd, Denver. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014, at 10:00am, Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2626 East 7th Ave. Parkway, Denver.
